Bendigo East outclassed Bendigo by 22 shots on Saturday to move to fourth, while Bendigo remains winless in ninth place.
Bendigo trailed East by just three shots midway through the match, but the home side powered clear late in the day.
Two ricks proved decisive to the outcome of the match.
East's Greg Podesta defated Bendigo's 21-10 and East's Josh Moloney took care of Grant Woodward 27-15.
Kangaroo Flat produced its best performance of the season so far when it edged out reigning premier South Bendigo by four shots.
The catalyst for the 80-76 victory was David Keenan's brilliant 25-14 win over Max Rowley.
The in-form Barry Anset toppled South star Brad Holland 17-15 in a crucial outcome for the Roos.
Eaglehawk skipper Brayden Byrne scored one of the most one-sided rink wins of the opening five rounds to set up the Borough's 96-65 triumph over Castlemaine.
Byrne thrashed Castlemaine's number one skip Greg Brain 32-10.
Dean Carter's outstanding form continued as his rink proved too good for Rod Phillips 25-14.
The highlight for Castlemaine was Darren Taylor's 24-22 win over Marc Smith.
The Hawks remain second, just behind Moama after the league's newest team survived a scare against Inglewood.
Inglewood won two of the four rinks, including Lindsay Kelly's stunning 25-16 upset of Kevin Anderson.
However, Moama won overall thanks largely to Brad Campbell's 31-13 demolition of Grant Jackson.
