The Roos have an up and down start to the season, but still find themselves in fourth place on the ladder - one spot behind South Bendigo.
The Roos would love to defeat a highly-rated side to bolster its premiership credentials.
So far this season their two wins have come against the lowly Bendigo East and Bendigo, while they were poor against top side Moama and the improving Inglewood.
After a shocker in round one, South Bendigo showed its class with big wins in its past two games and goes into Saturday's game as a deserved favourite.
In the remaining games on Saturday, ladder leader Moama makes the long trip to Inglewood, sixth-placed Castlemaine hosts second-placed Eaglehawk and old rivals Bendigo East and Bendigo meet on East's turf.
