Thales, an international weapons manufacturer, received an order for 1100 Australian Army tankers earlier this year.
Spokesperson for Disrupt War Zelda Grimshaw said the protestors efforts on Friday were to intervene to stop Australian weapons and defence vehicle exports to Indonesia.
Tensions and violence remain steady in the region as West Papuans continue to fight for independence.
"Thales weapons in the form of bombs, guns, bullets and military vehicles are being used in attacks on villages in West Papua as we speak," Ms Grimshaw said.
The activists blocked the main entryway to the Thales complex, where the Bushmaster weapons are manufactured, holding West Papuan memorial placards and signs that read 'Did Thales weapons kill these people?'.
The peaceful protest lasted only a couple of hours as the sun beat down on the group.

"There are so many entrances to the complex, I think they just used the other entrances instead, Ms Grimshaw said.
"I'm afraid the heat got to us before they really did."
A small number of police were called to the scene but said the protest wrapped up relatively quickly.
Acting Sergeant Tim Elliott said no arrests were made.

"It was a peaceful protest, he said, all parties were cooperative and moved on."
While the hot weather may have dampened Friday's efforts, Ms Grimshaw was adamant the fight isn't over.
"Our blockade of Thales today is just one small step we can take as Australians to support peace in West Papua."
