"I think many of us are really looking forward to catching up with family and friends and enjoying some down-time over the Christmas break," he said.
"This year we've been able to invest a little bit extra into our Christmas display - with new, additional decorations being introduced across not only Maryborough but Bealiba, Carisbrook, Dunolly, Majorca and Talbot.
"We hope it brings a little bit of extra cheer to our community this Christmas and we hope everyone has a safe and happy festive season."
Cr Meddows-Taylor encouraged friends and family to get together, enjoy the display, and if you can, support our local retail and hospitality businesses who've had a really challenging few years.
