The number of active COVID-19 cases in Bendigo has dropped by 24 in the last day as the region records five new cases.
Active cases are still above 100 - 119 in fact - but it is the third day in a row Greater Bendigo has recorded less than 10 new cases.
It is the second day in a row Heathcote has recorded another new case, bringing the number of active cases linked to the 3523 postcode to three.
Three cases are linked to the 3551 postcode. This is the same postcode that recorded five cases on Wednesday.
The last positive case recorded in the last 24 hours was linked to the 3550 postcode.
Macedon Ranges jumped from zero cases on Wednesday to recording six on Thursday, while Loddon Shire and Mount Alexander Shire both recorded zero.
Campaspe Shire recorded two cases, four less than Wednesday and Central Goldfields Shire recorded one new case.

Another 1,188 new coronavirus cases have been recorded in Victoria overnight.
The new cases take Victoria's active COVID-19 case tally to 12,913.

Data from the Department of Health data sadly shows 11 more people have died with the virus in the last 24 hours.
There are 289 people in hospital, another 43 in intensive care and 22 are on ventilators.
Victorians received more than 63,214 test results on Thursday with another 3,772 vaccinations admitted.
About 91 per cent of eligible Victorians are now fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

What's making news in Bendigo?
The Bendigo community is coming together once again today to celebrate International Day of People with Disability.
The free outdoor event will take place at Lake Weeroona from 11am to 2pm and will feature stalls, live entertainment and activities for young and old.
