Among them are Bendigo Golf Club hosting its women's club championship, in addition to the district championships.
Golf Central Victoria couldn't be prouder of its effort in running the district championships on Sunday.
While raising $1000 for Challenge, it also reconnected golfers from across the region after non-stop disruptions due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
"To have so many players together for the championships was a great opportunity, especially after all of the recent events being cancelled or postponed," GCV president Daniel Nancarrow said.
"From a district point of view, instead of doing little tournaments it was pleasing to host one major event - do it well and do it big.
"Especially this year as we linked up with Challenge and made a donation."
After the success of the 2021 GCV District Championships the plan is to make the event even bigger.
Looking ahead to future district championship events, Nancarrow hoped to make them equally about raising money for Challenge as they are an opportunity for golfers to compete.
In addition to the charitable work, Nancarrow said it was an action-packed day at Bendigo Golf Club on Sunday.
"The first five or so players on the final standings were only separated by a handful of shots, with most of the field playing off a handicap below 10," he said.
"We really had a solid representation of the best golfers from across the region."
The event saw golfers from as young as 12-years-old through to senior players in their 70s in action.
"One thing about our game is that, in a nutshell, it's possible to have three generations of players in action together," Nancarrow.
"That's one thing about golf that makes it so good, having people of all ages play together."
