Pool president Sam Kane said the official summer reopening was exciting after a year of COVID-19 lockdowns.
"It was fantastic to see our community members again," Mr Kane said. "Everyone is looking forward to getting back out again and going for a swim.
"We had some very keen swimmers who jumped in as soon as we opened. But we also had plenty of people just coming in to catch up and purchase memberships."
Mr Kane said while last summer was relatively uninterrupted by COVID-19, the pool's usual events for New Year's Eve and Australia Day were cancelled due to density limits.
He said he was hopeful that those events could return this summer.
"We just want to be able to bring people together again," Mr Kane said.
The Golden Square Pool will have a number of coronavirus procedures in place to keep patrons safe, including QR codes, vaccination requirements, and extra cleaning.
There were also new shades installed over the past few months.
"Our volunteers have done a power of work so the pool is looking just beautiful," Mr Kane said. "It's a testament to the volunteers we have.
"They're people who give up their time to make the place look great. We're really looking forward to seeing the community come down and support us."
