The winner of the knockout event represents Northern Rivers in the statewide Regional Big Bash, which Strathdale won in 2020.
The tournament wasn't played last summer because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
As the reigning BDCA T20 champions, Strathdale will play on Sunday, while Kangaroo Flat earned the second berth for BDCA clubs after Huntly-North Epsom declined the offer to play.
The Suns and Roos meet in the first round on Sunday at Bell Oval at 10am.
Reigning EVCA T20 premiers, Sedgwick, play the Yea Tigers at Dower Park at 10am, while Katandra plays Barooga at Canterbury Park and Echuca meets Arnold at the QEO.
The four winners advance to the semi-finals. The winner of the Strathdale-Kangaroo Flat clash plays the winner of the Sedgwick-Yea game, with the winner of Katandra-Barooga to meet the victor of Echuca-Arnold.
The four losing teams from the first round play in a consolation round in the afternoon.
All of those matches are scheduled to start at 1.30pm at venues yet to be determined.
The two winners of the semi-finals will clash in the grand final at the QEO from 5pm on Sunday evening.
While the winner of the Strathdale-Kangaroo Flat clash would start favourite to win the Kookaburra Cup, Echuca, featuring Sandhurst premiership star Taylor Beard, and Murray Valley power Barooga will be hard to beat.
