Starting out at around 25, the number is now closer to 100.
Cordy's motivation has been quite simple - to see kids outdoors enjoying football.
"I've got three boys myself and one of my main incentives was to make sure they had the best possible chance at Auskick," he said.
"At that stage the numbers had dwindled down but the fact it's now built back up to nearly 100 is very pleasing and rewarding."
Cordy's effort has been recognised by AFL Central Victoria with the Auskick Coordinator of the Year award.
Despite his effort, he also praised the assistance from AFL CV to help boost numbers.
"Their support has been great as they run clinics at schools which really helps gets more kids involved," he said.
"I just try and make sure the program is well run and organised to ensure the kids enjoy it."
Auskick is a program for kids to engage with AFL related activities with the overall goal to increase skills within a fun and safe environment.
"Auskick is such an important program for young girls and boys and it sets the foundations for fitness and coordination which helps with overall football development," Cordy said.
"It's also a chance for kids to play with their friends - they get a lot out of it."
"You can always tell which kids were part of the Auskick program once they progress to under-12s.
"There's no better starting point for the kids to get involved with football."
