FESTIVALS, FAIRS AND SHOWS
BENDIGO BOOK FAIR
The Y Service Club of Bendigo Book Fair is back on, and just in time for Christmas.
There will be pre-loved books, magazines, records, DVD's, CD's and more available to buy.
Most pre-loved books will be $3.
Funds raised from the sale will go towards supporting several local charities and organisations, such as Bendigo Foodshare, Bendigo Youth Choir, Discovery Centre Bendigo, UnitingCare Bendigo, Annie North Inc, and more.
Proof of double vaccination will be required for entry.
Where: YMCA Stadium, Mundy Street, Bendigo.
When: Saturday and Sunday, November 27 and 28, 9am to 4pm.
CRAFT ALIVE BENDIGO
Shop with leading craft retailers and meet other local crafters at this fun event.
There will be kits, supplies, equipment and so much more.
Parking is free and tickets are required. Pre-purchase tickets online. Adult tickets are $15, concession tickets are $14, children (14 and under) are free to attend.

CASTLEMAINE TRUCK SHOW
Celebrate the trucking industry in Castlemaine with the return of the Castlemaine Truck Show.
As per tradition, the day will kick off with a parade from Halford Street, down Barker Street.
Activities will commence at the Campbell's Creek Recreation Reserve with stalls, children's activities, demonstrations, talks and live music.
There will be a barbecue lunch, coffee, cool drinks and ice-creams available for purchase.
The Street Rod Coffee Cruise will also be joining in the fun.
All profits will be donated to community projects and youth scholarships supported by the Castlemaine Rotary Club.
As per Victorian Government regulations, proof of COVID-19 vaccination will be required at the gate for all patrons 16 years and over.
$5 admission per person, and children under 15 can attend for free.
Where: Parade down Halford Street, down Barker Street. Activities commencing at Campbell's Creek Recreation Reserve, Castlemaine.
When: Sunday, November 28, from 9am.
SPRING CARNIVAL HORSE SHOW
All Breeds Show Society is proudly presenting the Spring Carnival Horse Show.
The three-day show will feature many garlands to be won, rugs, sashes and colourful rosettes.
There will also be showbags for children and vouchers available.
Both days will feature a fashion on the field and Sunday will host a breed showcase.

SUMMER OF CELLAR DOORS
Summer of Cellar Doors is back on in 2021 with another line-up of events that will keep people coming back to Heathcote right across the summer months.
Wineries within the region will be celebrating old and new releases, hosting guest chefs and producers.
There will be food and wine pairing experiences, new cellar doors and lots of live music.
More than 10 wineries are joining in the fun, with something for every wine lover to enjoy.
All wineries will be operating in a COVID safe manner. Booking in advance is recommended, click here for more information.

BENDIGO ARTHRITIS CLUB INC EST 1976
The Bendigo Arthritis Club is celebrating 45 years of continuous service, fellowship and supporting members of the Greater Bendigo Community with Musculoskeletal disorders on Wednesday.
All past and present members are invited to a combined Christmas and 45th Anniversary Celebration Luncheon.

PETER SHEAHAN'S WALK UP
Enjoy an evening of music, poetry and walk up artists with Peter Sheahan's Walk Up fundraiser.
This event will be raising money for The Florey Institute - Childhood Alzeimer's caused by Niemann-Pick Type C Disease.
There will be performances by Rod Briant, Evelyn Sheahan, Ken Bice, Olive Bice, Bendigo Bill, Rod Fraser, Annette Sharp, Kevin Moore, Floreena Forbes, Pauline and Peter Ross, Graham Hall, John K, Rick Sheahan, Debbie Penhall, Ken Jones and Norm Hamley.
An afternoon tea will be supplied and a few prizes will be up for grabs.
Walk up artists are welcome, please register at 12.30pm.

HYMNS ALIVE
Hymns Alive (non denominational) will hold their final meeting for 2021 on Thursday.
You are most welcome to join, but numbers are limited. There is space for approximately 60 people for carols, food, fellowship and fun.
Katelyn Vercoe, a pastor of Bendigo Church of Christ, will be present as a guest speaker.
Mary Hanna will entertain us with singing Christmas songs and delicious afternoon tea is also available.
A free bus service may be available from your home.

BENDIGO BEER HOME BREW COMP
Bendigo Beer and the Cambrian Hotel are hosting the Bendigo Beer Home Brew Competition in line with the current COVID-19 rules.
The competition helps celebrate home brews and gives the opportunity for people to become professional brewers.
All brewers and ticket holders must be double vaccinated and adhere to QR code check-in rules.

CELEBRATING PEACE
Join in with the local Sikh community and celebrate Guru Nanak Sahib's 552nd Birth Anniversary and the second Anniversary of the Ik Oankar Peace Park installation.
All are welcome to attend this event which will be hosted by the Victorian Sikh Gurduaras Council and the Great Stupa of Universal Compassion.

MOVEMBER COMEDY FUNDRAISER
The Movember Comedy Fundraiser is a night packed with laughs.
With all profits going to the Movember Foundation, which supports men's health causes, this annual event will bring much needed smiles to the community after an extended COVID-19 break.
Since starting, the Movember Foundation has funded over 1,000 health projects tackling health issues for men such as preventable death, mental health, suicide prevention, prostate cancer and testicular cancer.
This years line-up will include David Quirk, Bre Blake, Peter Jones, Ash Greblo, Poppa, Grant Lockwood and Luke Morris.
Tickets are limited and cost $25 for adults, $22 for concession.

ORGAN AND BRASS CONCERT
Enjoy an evening of music with a concert at the Sacred Heart Cathedral.
Presented by Victoria Brass, this concert will be conducted by Dr Matthew Van Emmerik and will feature guest soloists Dr Calbin Bowman on organ and Matthew Little with Vocals/Narration.

ARTPUFF
Celebrate art and life with Artpuff, a new creative space at the Mill in Castlemaine.
Artpuff is run by artists Kir Larwill and Melissa Proposch and showcases some of the most inspiring regional artists, with workshops for locals and visitors.
Artpuff's current exhibition shares the work of Kim Barter with the exhibition titled: Tickled Pink.
The exhibition is based around Kim Barter's profound connection with the landscape around her.
There is also two workshops for those who are seeking to make space for art available.

MICA GRANGE
Mica Grange is opening its gardens for its annual sculpture exhibition.
Located at the foothills of Mount Alexander, the garden is known for its walks and meals.
There will be sculptures from all over Australia showcased, as well as plants for sale.
Group bookings can be arranged.
Entry costs $7, with children under 18 free.

ART AUCTION
The annual Art Auction is an event uniting art and community.
The small community Arts Hub works hard to provide exhibitions, workshops and events to the local community at affordable and accessible prices - but to do this, funding is needed.
This art auction helps to raise the necessary funds to keep the Hub doors open.
The auction will be held outdoors for a live event in front of the sunset.
All of the art to be auctioned can be viewed on our website or previewed on the morning of the auction between 10am and noon.
All of the works have been donated by local artists, collectors and galleries.

COMMUNITY ARTS EXHIBITION
This anticipated annual exhibition showcases the diverse talents of the Central Goldfields Shire and Avoca residents.
The exhibition will be full of a variety of paintings, textiles, digital work, ceramics, sculptures, miniatures and woodwork.
Where: Central Goldfields Visitor Information Centre, Railway Station, Station Street, Maryborough.

LILLIAN ALBAZI
Renowned Australian jazz vocalist, Lillian Albazi and her acclaimed band, are releasing their debut album.
After making her headliner debut at the Melbourne International Jazz Festival in 2016, Lillian has graced the stages of many festivals and venues around Australia.
Lillian Albazi and her band renew the familiar on After-Image with complex takes on classic and contemporary standards.
Recorded over two days at Rolling Stock Recording Rooms by Myles Mumford and Mastered by Adam Dempsey, After-Image is a reflection of Lillian's musical beginnings.

CHAMBER MUSIC FESTIVAL
Planning your next festival? Look no further than the Bendigo Chamber Music Festival.
This event will feature 15 concerts across five days with budding superstars such as Chloe Lankshear, Grace Clifford and Charlotte Miles performing.
There will also be David Elton, Sulki Yu, Amir Farid, Donald Nicholson and Stephen King making their first appearances at the festival.
The festival boasts a varied repertoire throughout the week and will continue the tradition of the Community Concert at the Bendigo Town Hall, along with the Bendigo Chamber Choir.

THE RED DYNASTY
The Red Dynasty, an exhibition by local artist Angela Morrissey, explores the current system of government in the People's Republic of China and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.
It explores the role of women in these countries with paintings inspired by photos of military parades and communist propaganda.
