The woman charged over the attack, 18-year-old Makayla Orr, appeared in the Bendigo Magistrates' Court on Tuesday via a telephone link. She pleaded guilty to charges including unlawful assault.
The court heard on the evening of August 28, the victim was walking along Napier Street in White Hills when she received a Snapchat message from Orr's friend.
The message was a photo of a house that the victim had recently walked past, telling the victim Orr and two other girls knew where she was.
The victim panicked and ran into a nearby driveway, but Orr and the two teens ran towards her.
The girls began punching the victim to the back of the head and face, causing her to fall to the ground.
The woman tried to stand up but Orr punched her to the back of the head again.
Orr also kicked the victim in the face when she tried to get up a second time. The court heard the victim felt immediately light-headed and dizzy.
Orr and the two teens left the scene on foot and the victim called the police. The woman took herself to a hospital emergency department where she received treatment for a swollen right eye.
Orr was interviewed at the Bendigo Police Station on September 8. She admitted to punching the victim "like 20 times" and kicking her in the face.
Orr told police she "flogged" the victim and the woman "got what she deserved".

When the officers showed photographs of the victim's injuries, Orr laughed and said she did not care about what happened to the victim.
Defence lawyer Christine Callaghan said Orr had only recently turned 18 so the charges were close to being heard in a Children's Court.
Ms Callaghan said Orr was clearly immature but she had no prior criminal history.
Magistrate Russell Kelly said the offending was too serious for Orr to be virtually appearing in court.
Mr Kelly said there was a "mob mentality" to the attack where Orr and the two girls sought out the victim and assaulted her.
"If she thinks this is all a big joke, then she can come into the court and have a laugh with me," the magistrate said.
The case was adjourned to Thursday. Orr will appear in the Bendigo Magistrates' Court for a further plea hearing.
