There will be information about a business grant program and the electric vehicle rebate.
President of the Bendigo Sustainability Group Colin Lambie said a separate event would also be held in the morning at the Discovery Centre to highlight advances in renewable energy.
"Solar is the cheapest way to generate electricity. Amortised over its life it costs 5-6 cents per kilowatt hour compared to 20 cents per kilowatt hour off the grid,'' he said.
Rob Law from the Central Victorian Greenhouse Alliance said there were large economic gains to be made from embracing renewable energy.
"The Loddon Mallee region is well placed to become a renewable energy powerhouse delivering over $1 billion in supply chain benefits to the region and creating over 3200 jobs during construction by mid-decade," he said.
"However, to unlock the full potential of renewable energy in the region, investment is needed to upgrade the transmission grid."
