An Ambulance Victoria spokesperson has confirmed the man had been flown by air ambulance to the Alfred Hospital.
The spokesperson said the man was in a stable condition with serious lower body injuries.

A 35-year-old man with lower body injuries is being transported to Melbourne via Air Ambulance following a single-car crash in Golden Gully on Tuesday morning.
An Ambulance Victoria spokesperson said the man was in a serious condition.

Bendigo Police Acting Sergeant Jordan Norris said the man was driving a Hyundai i30 and subsequently collided with a tree.
"The man was trapped in the vehicle for about an hour and was cut out by Fire Rescue Victoria and SES," he said.
Acting Sergeant Norris said investigations were continuing and the exact cause of the crash was unknown.
"The investigations are in the early stages and are ongoing," he said.
Acting Sergeant Norris said the man was the only occupant in the vehicle.
He said it was important for every road user to slow down and take their time when driving.
"It's important that everyone maintains their concentration and drive to the conditions," he said.
Ham Street is now open in both directions.

The Bendigo Advertiser has been informed the driver has been removed from the vehicle.
There is still no indication of his injuries.

Paramedics are on scene treating a man in his 30s at the scene of the crash, an Ambulance Victoria spokesperson confirmed.
The extent of the man's injuries is unknown.
Air ambulance was dispatched and arrived on scene around 10.20am to assist emergency services freeing the driver from the trapped vehicle.
The spokesperson confirmed Ambulance Victoria were call to the road incident at approximately 9.40am this morning.
Victoria Police are also on scene directing traffic. A section of Ham St is currently closed in both directions.

FIRE crews and the State Emergency Service are working to remove a driver who is trapped in the vehicle.
Ham Street is blocked to traffic in both directions.

EMERGENCY services are responding to a single-vehicle crash in Golden Gully.
A Country Fire Authority spokesperson confirmed crews were called to the crash near the intersection of Ham Street and MacDougall Road about 9.40am on Tuesday.
There were reports that the driver was trapped in the vehicle.
