The rain is here to stay in NSW, with there are warnings of severe storms will hit NSW with heavy winds and rain, particularly in the northern parts of the state. Warnings have been issued in an area spanning west of Bourke to east of Inverell, and south of Scone and will reach down to Newcastle. The Bureau of Meteorology's Jane Golding said on Friday the landscape is already "quite sensitive" and floods remain a risk.
