The state government has confirmed early works on the multi-million-dollar project are nearly finished and ADCO Group Pty Limited has been appointed to complete the main building works.
Health Minister martin Foley said the project will create around 180 jobs, marking the final piece in the Bendigo Health precinct puzzle.
The project includes a new hydrotherapy pool, outpatient rehabilitation, allied health, dental, mental health, renal dialysis, breast screening and diabetes education services under the one roof.
Central Victorians will be also be able to access a team of dedicated health professionals in the one place - helping them recover from accidents, injuries and medical conditions, such as a stroke or heart attack, with a holistic and patient-centred approach to rehabilitation and care.
Member for Bendigo West Maree Edwards said having the best rehabilitation services in one place, including a new hydrotherapy pool, will make sure locals have everything they need to make recovery as seamless as possible.
