Tatts is still waiting for the owner of a winning ticket, sold at Market News Bendigo, to claim their prize, $869,125.59.
Market News owner Adam Coffey was busy yesterday checking Lotto tickets.
“Everyone’s trying to present their ticket hoping they’re the one,” he said. “It’s given a bit of a different atmosphere to the store.”
Mr Coffey said selling a winning ticket was supposed to boost sales.
“This is the first one we’ve sold since we’ve had the store,” he said.
“We’ve had it for three years.
“This is what everyone’s aiming for, getting a Division One winner.”
Tatts public relations executive Louise Azzopardi said Tatts was still waiting for the mystery winner to come forward and claim their prize.
She said the ticket was not registered to a Tatts Card so Tatts had no way of contacting the winner.
“We’re still looking for them,” she said. “So we’re encouraging everyone to check their tickets.”
There were five Division One winners nationally in TattsLotto draw 3197 on Saturday – three in Victoria and two in Western Australia. The winning numbers were 41, 21, 32, 20, 26 and 43. The supplementary numbers were 22 and 6.
