Bendigo Police held a press conference on Friday to repeat calls for information and witnesses to the fire at the former Frankie and Co Clothing premises.
More news:
Bendigo CIU lead investigator Detective Senior Constable Regan Oxford said investigations are continuing.
"We feel like we are very close to finding the two offenders that committed this offence and there has been significant progress in the investigation."
Detective Senior Constable Oxford said it was a devastating incident.
"There has been quite a substantial amount of damage done to not only to the building but also the occupants of the building," he said.
"The net is closing in on these offenders and it's only a matter of time until we make arrests. We have no information that it was targeted at the building."
He said results from a forensic examination conducted after the fire would help identify the offenders.
