The entry was drawn on Saturday, November 6 with the winner - who held one of the six division one winning entries - taking home a $1,015,392.69.
This morning, an official from The Lott spoke to the man who'd only recently discovered he was now a millionaire.
"It's absolutely unreal," he said.
"I found out last night when I was listening to the radio. I'd heard they were on the hunt for a missing winner, so I checked my ticket on The Lott website and that's when it said I'd won.
"I didn't believe it at first, so I got my wife to check, and she didn't believe it either. We checked over and over again."
There have been 13 division one wins in the Central Highlands & Goldfields region worth more than $36.3 million in 2021 so far.
The man said the winnings were life-changing.
"I'm a millionaire! I've joined the millionaires' club! It's unbelievable," he said.
"I still haven't got my head around it all. It's so overwhelming.
"Nothing like this has ever happened to me before. I am absolutely blown away."
The man said he had received the ticket as a gift from some family members.
"We went straight over to theirs last night to share the news, and they were so genuinely happy for us," he said.
"We celebrated with champagne together. It was great."
When asked how he planned to enjoy his million-dollar prize, the elated man said he had a few ideas.
It's really overwhelming! I am struggling to believe this is even true.
- The anonymous winner.
"We would really like to go on a few overseas holidays next year, and then we might invest some as well," he said.
"Then we will help our family and just use it to have a bit of fun!"
His winning entry was purchased at Strath Lotteries, Shop 5 Woolworths Kennington Shopping C, 150-158 Condon Street, Kennington.
