Greater Bendigo recorded another 18 cases on Friday, the Department of Health has revealed.
But more people are recovering from the virus in the municipality.
Total case numbers in Greater Bendigo have fallen to 208, the lowest they have been in eleven days.
It continues a trend of high new numbers even as overall COVID-19 cases continue to plateau and even appear to trend downwards in recent days.
Of the 18 new Greater Bendigo cases, four were in the 3550 postcode, three in 3555, four in 3556 and five in 3551.
Elsewhere in the region, the Macedon Ranges Shire had six new cases, Mount Alexander two and Campaspe three.
The Loddon Shire recorded one new case while the Gannawarra and Central Goldfields shires had zero.

Sadly, there were seven more deaths.
There were 15,058 vaccinations administered in Victoria.
About 82 per cent of Victorians over the age of 12 are fully vaccinated.
In the last 24 hours, 65,410 test results have been received by Victorians.
These cases came as Lightning Reef Primary School was notified of another COVID-19 positive case in its school community.
Acting principal Joanne Ryan confirmed the news in a letter to parents and families on Friday afternoon.
"Contact identification is complete and we have contacted all potential primary close contacts, who have been notified to get tested and stay home until they receive a negative result," she said.
"The school will continue to be open for all other staff and students next week."
Foundation to grade four students at Marist College Bendigo have also been sent into isolation after two students tested positive this week.
The school said one student was in grade two and one in grade four, but were not related.
They last attended school on Wednesday morning.
