POLICE are investigating the cause of a collision in Echuca this afternoon that left three people hospitalised.
All three were in a vehicle that flipped following the two-car crash at the Hare Street and Eyre Street intersection.
Officers believe one of the vehicles failed to give way "but the investigation is ongoing," Campaspe Highway Patrol Acting Sergeant Corey Holland said.
"The driver and the passengers were extracted by the SES," he said.
Acting Sergeant Holland confirmed that a male believed aged in his 50s was transported by road to Bendigo.
Ambulance Victoria had previously confirmed that a woman believed aged in her 50s had been flown to Melbourne and a woman aged in her 20s was driven to Echuca Hospital.

AN AIR ambulance have flown a woman believed to be aged in her 50s to the Royal Melbourne Hospital in a stable condition.
Ambulance Victoria has also updated earlier information about two other people who were trapped in the vehicle.
It now believes one woman originally thought to be in her 40s was actually aged in her 20s.
She suffered back pain and was sent to Echuca's Hospital in a road ambulance.
A third patient assessed at the scene was in a stable condition and paramedics were yet to publicly confirm any other details about them at this stage.
3.30pm
A WOMAN will be airlifted after sustaining a head injury and fractured arm in an Echuca car crash this afternoon.
She is one of three people who were trapped for "some time" in a car after it rolled at the intersection of Hare Street and Eyre Street.
The woman is believed to be aged in her 50s and Ambulance Victoria is yet to confirm which hospital she will be flown to.
A man and woman both believed to be in their 40s appear to be in a stable condition and will be taken to hospitals in the region.
They will be transported by road.
Emergency services were called to the scene just after 2pm this afternoon.

Two CFA fire trucks and volunteer firefighters from the Echuca fire brigade attended.

A VEHICLE is on its side at an intersection within Echuca following a crash.
Three people are understood to be inside.
The incident is taking place at the intersection of Hare Street and Eyre Street.
It is not yet clear how many vehicles were involved in the crash or the circumstances that contributed to it.
Emergency service crews were called to the incident a short time ago.
Emergency services have not declared the incident under control.
