Matches start on Friday afternoon, with further divisions set to hit the court for an action-packed Saturday at the Fosterville Gold Tennis Centre.
"It's really exciting as it's been in the works for a while after a very long winter," FGTC general manager James Rouel said.
"We are about four weeks behind schedule, but the fact we have a season that starts this weekend is huge.
"Numbers have increased right across the board and we're set for one of the biggest summers on the court in recent years."
The 2021/22 summer season will be shortened by approximately four weeks due to the delayed start and will conclude towards the end of March.
This season there will be nine teams in total within the competition, up from five last year, which has also led to immense growth within the number of teams within several divisions.
"This will be one of the busiest seasons so far during my time at FGTC," Rouel said.
"It ensures there's more participation within the association."
BTA's nine affiliated clubs are Bendigo, Castlemaine, Ironbark, Maiden Gully, South Bendigo, Spring Gully, Strathfieldsaye, Strathdale and Woodvale.
