The Josh Julius-trained gelding finished a gallant sixth in last Saturday's $2 million Group 1 Cantala Stakes at Flemington.
Last Saturday's run followed Just Folk winning the $300,000 Group 2 Crystal Mile at Moonee Valley seven days earlier.
"He'll head off to the paddock now, have a break and we'll then look at the calendar and see when he needs to be back so we can target some autumn and potentially winter racing," Julius said.
"He has definitely earned a break and to be fair, he probably doesn't owe us anything for a while.
"It's exciting to think about what sort of horse could come back given the progression he has taken after each time we've given him a break."

Five-year-old Just Folk now boasts five wins from 16 career starts and prize money of $371,938.
Those five wins include a victory in his first start when he won over 1100m on a heavy track at Echuca on July 4, 2020.
Ridden by Dean Holland, $61 outsider Just Folk finished just one length off winner Superstorm in the weekend's Cantala Stakes.
"He's super competitive and doesn't like losing," Julius said.
"You mix that competitive edge with a horse that has obviously got a fair share of ability, you're well and truly on the way to having a nice horse in your stable.
"He's still got plenty to learn and is far from a finished product, which is exciting."
Since returning from a six-week freshen up in September Just Folk has ran placings in three of five starts.
