BENDIGO'S Dyson Daniels scored three points in his first game for his new team, the G League Ignite, on Saturday.
Playing the Iowa Wolves in a "non-regular season" game, the Jason Hart-coached Ignite lost 98-87.
The Ignite is entering its season season in the NBA G League, with the goal of the team to provide development opportunities for professional prospects.
Daniels played 25 minutes of game time against the Wolves and finished with three points, one rebound, two assists and one steal.
The Ignite's next game will be against the Sioux Falls Skyforce on Monday.
"I feel that this is the best pathway for me to get to my ultimate goal, the NBA," Daniels told ESPN after signing with the Ignite in June.
"It has every resource I need in really good development, a great coaching staff and great competition to go against every day."
Daniels' move to America to play with the Ignite comes just over a month after he was named the MVP of the Waratah League in New South Wales playing for the Centre of Excellence.
