Greater Bendigo has seen 21 new COVID-19 cases since Friday.
The region's active cases now stand at 238.
In other parts of central Victoria, Mount Alexander Shire recorded three new cases, the one new case in Central Goldfields, six new cases in the Campaspe Shire and 14 new cases in the Macedon Ranges.
Loddon, Gannawarra and Buloke shires did not record any new cases.
11.30am:
Victorian COVID commander Jeroen Weimar said there were 280 new cases in regional Victoria.
That number represented about 20 per cent of the state's new cases.
"There has been an upswing in cases in regional Victoria," he said. "That number was 14 per cent a week ago and before that it was less than 10 percent.
"So while we welcome the opening up and easing of restrictions, with regional Victorians going to Melbourne and Melburnians going to regional Victoria, it is a time where we expect to see an ongoing spread of cases among communities.
"It makes it really important to get on top of symptoms and get tested at an early stage."
Mr Weimar said he was pleased to see vaccination rates go over 92.3 per cent for Victorians aged over 16 with a first dose.
"Currently we are at 79.1 per cent fully vaccinated and are confident that we are on or about 80 per cent for double dose vaccination," he said.
"It's fantastic that we are at or close to 80 per cent double vaccination. It is a phenomenal achievement across the state.
"But the job is not done, we must move as hard as we can to move to 90 per cent. The sooner we bring vaccination rates forward, the quicker we can ease remaining restrictions in Victoria."
"COVID safety is more important now than ever. If you're enjoying the things now possible in Melbourne and regional Victoria, COVID-safe behaviours are so important and if you're not vaccinated, you will be left behind."
Today coronavirus press conference is the last live update Mr Weimar and the COVID response team will deliver.
Mr Weimar said the COVID response doesn't change and that daily chief health officer updates on cases, numbers and vaccinations will be online along with regular updates from the state government.
"There was a recognition that the new content at daily press conferences was getting a bit light," he said. "For the vast majority of the public, people are moving to a COVID-normal where they practice good habits but are not glued to screens (for these updates).
"(My) job is being out there driving response and making sure (my team) is responding as best we can to get people vaccinated and tested. The media aspect is small fragment of what my team and I do."
Mr Weimar thanks health workers for their onging work and Victorians for the attentiion they paid to the daily updates.
"For thousands of Victorians these daily opportunities have been a way to understand what's going on with the state as we move to more stable environment," he said. "We can start to be less fixated on day-to-day movement of numbers and the ins and outs of whats going on.
"There will still be plenty of online content but the need to do this in a live manner each day isn't there."

On Friday, Victorian chief health officer Brett Sutton said Victoria has likely hit the peak of its coronavirus outbreak "for now", but warned cases would climb as the state opened up.
"For now we've hit the peak," he told reporters at a press conference on Friday. "I think as we open up, we'll get an increase in cases and that will bring a few more people into hospital and a few more people into ICU.
"We're on a somewhat stable trend at the moment, but it could pick up again.
Yesterday Greater Bendigo reached 250 active cases following 13 new cases being recorded in the city.
The 24-hour pharmacy took to social media to let customers know a COVID-positive person attended the store on October 20 between 10.53am and 10.57am.
