A BENDIGO man has been charged after allegedly stealing a car in Castlemaine while on bail.

Central Goldfields Crime Investigation Unit detectives have been told a white 2010 Peugeot station wagon was allegedly stolen from a property in Fitzgeralds Close in Castlemaine on October 10.
Police alleged the stolen Peugeot was later involved in petrol drive-offs at service stations in Bendigo and Taradale.
The stolen vehicle was found burnt out in Castlemaine on October 14.
Detectives have charged a 31-year-old Bendigo man with 50 offences, including theft of a motor vehicle, criminal damage by fire, and committing an indictable offence while on bail.
He was remanded to appear at Bendigo Magistrates' Court on November 15.
