The gusto usually reserved for Christmas lights displays has come early in 2021 -- with full Halloween pageantry displayed on lawns and house frontages in suburbs across the region.
The Reynolds family, of White Hills, has transformed the front garden of their home into a pet-cemetery-style homage.
"We really wanted to do something special for the kids this year after the lockdowns,'' Irina Reynolds said.
"Our son Ryan is 11 and he has missed out on so many camps and excursions.
"We really wanted to do something fun.
"We haven't done anything for Halloween in the past. This is our first time."
The Reynolds family started setting up their display at the beginning of October and it has grown in detail over the past few weeks.
"Ryan was so excited he said 'this is the best day of my life' when shopping for everything and setting it up," Irina said.
Ryan, pictured in the clown mask, has also been across the road to admire the theme-park-style Halloween display belonging to Gary and Jenny Hilson.
The Hilsons have brought out life-sized props belonging to their dinner theatre business Dribs 'N' Drabs, for a sound and light show in their garden.
It includes a grave-yard, and a Lincoln stretch-limo, which Ryan is pictured in above.
