Spirit will hit the road to Melbourne to play Southside on Saturday December 4, before returning to the Bendigo Stadium a few days later to host Melbourne for the first home game of the season.
All 84 league-wide home and away games will be broadcast live across a range of platforms to ensure fans have full access to the action.
WNBL is also hoping for the return of full capacity crowds ahead of the start of the season.
"The priority this season is for the players to play in front of fans, it's imperative for our clubs and the league that we have a home and away season," WNBL executive manager Paul Maley said.
"The delay to the season opener will allow us to have crowds at the games which is a great win for the fans."
During the 16-round season, there will be several feature rounds which focus on mental health awareness, Indigenous culture and more.
New additions to the Spirit's roster includes the league's leading rebounder last season Anneli Maley, Maddie Garrick, a two-time championship player with the Spirit who has returned after six seasons with the Melbourne Boomers, star young forward Megan McKay and Sydney Uni Flames championship forward Carly Boag.
