Bendigo Health chairman Bob Cameron thanked the community for their hard work.
"We are sailing along at a great pace and this is a great achievement," he said.
"We are now wanting to make sure all the gaps in the Loddon Mallee region are also filled and that anyone (in that region) who haven't been able to get the vaccine can get access to it... we will be sending out some of our workers."
The state-wide prediction for 90 per cent double dose is November 24 but Greater Bendigo is expected to reach that November 12.
Bendigo East MP Jacinta Allan said it was vitally important to get vaccinated.
"Vaccination is about keeping everyone safe," she said.

"Our healthcare workers are working hard to support both COVID patients and non-COVID patients and it's really important that we take every opportunity to minimise the number of people in our hospitals with COVID."
Bendigo West MP Maree Edwards thanked the whole community and frontline staff for reaching the milestone.
"This is really exciting, it's exciting for Bendigo and it's exciting for central Victoria."
"Even today we can see so many people coming through and it's at about 1000 people a day, that is extremely amazing to see."
