The City of Greater Bendigo will begin the trial on November 1 with the car park to remain open and offer free parking until midnight on Fridays and Saturdays and from 7am to 7pm on Sundays.
It is hoped the extended hours will offer more parking options to residents and visitors supporting local businesses in the CBD during the busy Christmas holiday trading period.

"The City will monitor the rates of use during the extended times to determine the success of the trial," council's safe and healthy environments manager Caroline Grylls said.
"This means there will be an additional 200 free parking bays available for people who are dining and shopping in the City Centre over this busy time of the year.
"Signs will be put in place at the car park to reflect the changed operating hours during the trial period."
