By September 13, 100 per cent of staff at the hospital had received both vaccinations after all residents reached the goal on June 24.
BDHS nurse unit manager Mubarak Meera Sahib said it was a happy day when the news came through.
"Myself and our director of clinical services and now acting chief executive Donna Doyle feel thankful and proud of the way our team stepped up and set a leading example of commitment and dedication," he said.
Our residents embraced the opportunity and got vaccinated to keep themselves and the community safe from COVID-19.
"Our team has pioneered initiatives in the past that have helped in supporting our clients, families and local farming community."
Mr Meera Sahib said this wasn't the first time his staff had stepped up in the past two years.

"This is not the first time the team at BDH has pioneered during the battle against this global pandemic," he said.
"Our community COVID-19 swab bus ride was a novel initiative at the start of the health crisis and was widely received by the community.
"And last September, residents and patients were taken outside to see a parade of family, friends, community members and staff as a way of keeping spirits high."
Mr Meera Sahib encouraged anyone who is yet to be vaccinated to book an appointment.
"Unless you have a significant reason or a medical exemption, get vaccinated," he said.
"At the present time, the best way to show your commitment to community and appreciate the work of our health workers is by getting yourself double vaccinated.
"Research and surveillance data shows that this could the pandemic of unvaccinated or partially vaccinated."
