If so, nominations are now open for the 2022 City of Greater Bendigo Citizen and Young Citizen of the Year awards.
Mayor Jennifer Alden said there were many Greater Bendigo residents who had gone above and beyond for their community this year.
"Many people have been doing so much in our community during the COVID-19 pandemic without seeking acknowledgement or thanks for what they do," she said.
Cr Alden said this was your opportunity to put forward someone who contributes through charity work, managing community sport or events or someone who actively works to make the community and world a better place.
"Tell us who you think is a shining example and why they should be recognised as the next Citizen and Young Citizen of the Year for 2022," she said.
"Nominating someone is easy, highlight the nominee's contributions to the Greater Bendigo community in a short online form."
Other news:
Nominees must be residents of the City of Greater Bendigo and the Young Citizen of the Year must be under 25 years of age on January 26, 2022.
Recipients of the awards will be announced in the lead up to Australia Day 2022.
The award winners will be invited to attend several civic events in 2022, including citizenship ceremonies and their names will be included on the Honour Roll in the Bendigo Town Hall.
The closing date is 5pm Friday November 26, 2021.
