GREATER Bendigo has recorded nine new cases of COVID-19 since Saturday.

Data on the Department of Health's website said there were four cases in the postcode of 3550, two cases in 3551, two in 3556 and one case in 3555.

These are part of the 142 cases in regional Victoria.

There were four new cases recorded in the Macedon Ranges area and 12 in the Mitchell Shire

Campaspe Shire recorded one case and there were zero cases recorded in Mount Alexander and Gannawarra shires.

VICTORIA has recorded 1838 new coronavirus cases since Saturday.

Sadly, seven people with COVID-19 have died.

Saturday also bought 73,501 test results to Victorians as well as 38,977 vaccinations being administered.

Victoria's active coronavirus case tally now sits at 23,376.

These numbers come as Greater Bendigo recorded 17 new cases of COVID-19 since Friday.

COVID commander Jeroen Weimar said these were some of the 168 cases recorded in region Victoria.

Data on the Department of Health's website said there were eight cases in the 3550 postcode, four cases in 3551, three in 3515 and one in 3555 and 3556.

There were two new cases recorded in the Macedon Ranges area and seven in the Mitchell Shire

Zero cases were recorded in Mount Alexander, Campaspe and Gannawarra shires.

A number of tier one and two sites were identified around Bendigo and other regions on Saturday.

The Department of Health confirmed The Dispensary Bar and Diner in Chancery Lane was exposed to COVID-19 when a positive case attended the venue on October 9.

The business took to social media on Friday night saying the doors would be closed as a precaution.

"Erring on the side of caution, we have pre-empted possible requirements from DHHS and activated our COVIDsafe plan to ensure there is no exposure to any of our staff or guests," the post said.

"All of our staff have been tested and told to isolate until we have more information."

Bunja Thai restaurant in Bendigo has confirmed it has been identified as a tier two exposure site.

In a social media post, the business confirmed they would be closing after being contacted by the Department of Health.

A staff member who visited an exposure site worked at the restaurant on October 14 between 5pm and 8.30pm and October 15 between 10am and 2pm.

They also worked at the venue on October 15 between 5pm and 10pm.

Marist College Bendigo has confirmed the parent of one of their students has tested positive to COVID-19.

In a post on social media, principal Darren McGregor encouraged students and families to stay vigilant and get tested if concerns or symptoms develop.

"Last night one of our parents was informed they have tested positive for COVID-19. We wish this person all the best at this challenging time for them," the post said.

"Their child has developed symptoms and was tested early this morning. The child is a student in our Champagnat Learning Experience.

"We are now waiting for this student to receive their results, but the advice we have received is to be proactive in our response."

Anyone who has visited a tier one site during any these times must get tested immediately and quarantine for 14 days from the exposure.
