GREATER Bendigo has recorded 17 new cases of COVID-19 since Friday.
COVID commander Jeroen Weimar said these were some of the 168 cases recorded in region Victoria.
Data on the Department of Health's website said there were eight cases in the 3550 postcode, four cases in 3551, three in 3515 and one in 3555 and 3556.
There were two new cases recorded in the Macedon Ranges area and seven in the Mitchell Shire
Zero cases were recorded in Mount Alexander, Campaspe and Gannawarra shires.
Other regions that recorded cases in regional Victoria since Friday were:
- Greater Sheppaton had 22 cases
- Geelong had 26 cases
- Baw Baw Shire saw 22 cases
- LaTrobe Valley had 17 cases
- Mildura recorded 16 cases
Mr Weimar said at a press conference on Saturday that the numbers were "gradual and consistent" and cases were mostly confined to households.
"Although we're not seeing massive spreader events, we're seeing these rolling sets of numbers as people in households continue to test positive," Mr Weimar said.
"We have aroung 1000 households that have at least one person with COVID-19 and over the next few weeks we will see more cases come as more people in these households get tested."

Friday also bought 79,214 test results to Victorians as well as 40,386 vaccinations being administered.
Victoria's active coronavirus case tally now sits at 21,647.
It is currently unclear how many of these cases are in regional Victoria and Greater Bendigo.
These numbers come as six new coronavirus cases were recorded in the Greater Bendigo region on Friday.
Data from the Department of Health released on Friday confirmed one case in the 3551 postcode, while five new cases were listed in the 3550 postcode.
The new cases bring the total number of active cases in Greater Bendigo to 47.
Mitchell Shire recorded a further 16 cases on Friday and there were six in the Macedon Ranges area.
Campaspe Shire had one new case while Mount Alexander and Gannawarra recorded no new cases.
Bendigo Health has confirmed three people with COVID-19 are being treated in the hospital's intensive care unit.
These patients are of the nine patients currently in hospital on Friday with six being treated in the respiratory ward.
There are 39 COVID-19 patients being monitored through the Hospital in the Home program.
There were 1100 people tested for the virus through Bendigo Health on Thursday.
Another 822 coronavirus vaccinations were administered in Greater Bendigo
