FOUR-time club best and fairest winner Rhys Magin will guide Kyneton's emerging crop of young players as coach of the Tigers' under-18s next season.
Magin has been a star of the Bendigo Football-Netball League since the gun midfielder arrived at Kyneton in 2015 having earlier played four AFL games for Essendon in 2009.
"We couldn't be happier to be appointing Rhys as our under-18 coach," Kyneton president Hayden Evans said on Thursday.
"He has been a brilliant player and clubman since he first arrived at the Showgrounds.
"Our young men will now be coached by the player they have all looked up to for years and that's exciting for everyone at Kyneton.
"Rhys is a well-respected player and brings with him knowledge, skill and the ability to communicate the vision of the club to achieve excellence for the players."
As well as a four-time Kyneton best and fairest, Magin was picked on the wing in the BFNL's 2010s Team of the Decade.
The Tigers will again be led in the seniors by the competition's most high profile coach, former Geelong and Essendon star Paul Chapman, while Jesse Grae will again coach the reserves.
