Mutch had 25 possessions, 11 tackles and kicked two goals as the Eagles dominated Glenelg in Sunday's grand final at Adelaide Oval.
Glenelg only lost one match through the home and away season, but the Eagles were the best team in the finals.
The Eagles defeated Glenelg by four points in a thrilling second semi-final and then won the grand final comfortably, 15.9 (99) to 4.8 (32).
After playing five AFL games for Essendon, Mucth was delisted at the end of last year and made the move to Adelaide.
He made a slow start to the SANFL season, but got better as the year went on and his final four weeks of the season were outstanding.
He kicked three goals and was one of the Eagles' better players in the final home and away game of the year before producing a best on ground performance in the qualifying final win over Norwood.
Mutch was solid in the second semi-final victory over Glenelg and was again in his side's best players in the grand final triumph.
Mutch, 23, entered this year's AFL mid-season draft in the hope of returning to the elite level.
While he missed out on selection in June, his form at the back end of the SANFL season might have caught the eye of AFL clubs ahead of the upcoming national draft and rookie draft.
