Bendigo Health's COVID-19 testing site in McLaren Street reached capacity just before 3.30pm today.
A spokesperson said testing will operate from McLaren Street at its usual hours of 10am to 5.30pm but the hospital has the ability to upscale its testing capacity if required.
A City of Greater Bendigo spokesperson confirmed the Lake Weeroona playspace and toilets were closed not long after the area was listed as an exposure site.
Cleaning of the equipment and toilets will be completed before the site is opened to the public again.

AN ADDITIONAL three exposure sites have been listed in Greater Bendigo.
The Bendigo Salvation Army Thrift Shop (2B Thistle Street, Golden Square) has been listed as a tier one site between 11.22am and 12.10pm on September 23.
Anyone who visited the site during the exposure time must get tested immediately and quarantine for 14 days from the exposure.

Mick's Fish & Takeaway (19 Nolan Street, Bendigo) has been recorded as a tier two site between 11.55am and 12.30pm on September 23.
The Eaglehawk Eco Centre - Recycle Shop on California Gully Road has also been listed as a tier two site between 1.12pm and 1.55pm on September 23.
Anyone who visited those location during the exposure times should urgently get tested, then isolate until confirmation of a negative result.

FIVE new exposure sites have been listed in Greater Bendigo.
The Fusion Room of Hair (36 Eaglehawk Road, Ironbark) has been listed as a tier one site between 10.03am and 10.50am on September 23.
Fruit Shack Ironbark (46 Eaglehawk Road, Ironbark) has also been listed as a tier one site between 10.25am and 11.15am on September 23.
Anyone who visited those locations during the exposure times must get tested immediately and quarantine for 14 days from the exposure.
The following sites have also been listed as tier two exposure sites:
- Lake Weeroona Playspace and Toilets (298 Napier Street, Bendigo) - September 23, 12pm-1.30pm
- Waugh's Industrial Supplies Bendigo (2F Thistle Street, Golden Square) - September 23, 11.05am -11.45am
- Abbott Supply (13-23 Abel Street, Golden Square) - September 23, 9.40am - 10.20am
Anyone who visited those location during the exposure times should urgently get tested, then isolate until confirmation of a negative result.
It comes after a number of new exposure sites were listed in Daylesford and Kerang on Tuesday.
There were a number of Bendigo exposure sites listed on the Department of Health website at the weekend.
