Beau Bryan, 32, appeared in the Bendigo Magistrates' Court this week where he pleaded guilty to a charge of handling stolen goods.
The court heard on May 10 last year, Bryan spoke to police about unrelated matters at his home in Golden Square.

During the conversation, officers saw a yellow Suzuki motorbike parked at the address and Bryan admitted to buying the bike earlier that day.
The motorbike was not displaying a VIN number or registration plates, but checks were able to confirm that it had been stolen in 2018.
Bryan was arrested and interviewed. He told police he had bought the bike for $450.
The 32-year-old could not provide a receipt or say where he had purchased the motorbike.
Defence lawyer Robert Timms told the court Bryan did not know the bike was an outstanding stolen item when he bought it.
Mr Timms said Bryan had faced the Bendigo Magistrates' Court earlier this month on separate charges.

The defence lawyer said Bryan had wanted to plead guilty to this offence at that time but for some reason the charges were not consolidated.
Mr Timms instructed that Bryan had been sentenced to 51 days of time served and a community corrections order, so the magistrate should take that into account for this sentence.
Magistrate Alan Spillane said he was prepared to accept that submission. Bryan was convicted and fined $200.
