Traverse was recently installed at the visitor centre's Living Arts Space by artists Kerry L Brown and Annie Brigdale.

The pair were inspired to create the exhibition by their time in unique and varied landscapes across Greater Bendigo.

Visitor Services Manager Jemma Docherty said the artists had taken two different approaches and interpretations about what the landscape means to them personally.

"Together their work creates an inspiring and immersive view of our local terrain, capturing both the movement and stillness with bold splashes of colour and strong linework," Ms Docherty said.

Ms Brown's focus on the texture, shape, sound and changing light found in Bendigo's bushland has helped her create a sense of wonder and immersion in nature for her works.

First Nations artist Ms Brigdale present works that reflect her thoughts on Country and how it sits with her. She has focused on reconnecting to her cultural heritage.

"Traverse is a beautiful free exhibition and reveals the deep cultural and emotional connection these two artists have with nature," Ms Docherty said

"Visitors can enjoy this unique exhibition in a COVID-safe way and browse the collection, including items for sale which also feature in our online catalogue."
