Upgrades include infrastructure in playgrounds to make kinder activities more accessible as well as moveable inclusive education equipment like mobility stools and sensory equipment to support learning programs.

At the same time, kindergartens will have more access to devices such as laptops and tablets which can be used to provide enriching education to all ages.

Macedon MP Mary-Anne Thomas recently announced two lots of funding for the area to help these kindergartens thrive in the coming months.

She said the state government's Building Blocks Improvement Grants would see 12 kinders in the area share in more than $17,000 to buy new IT equipment to support their funded kinder programs.

"It is vital that our early childhood services are equipped with modern technology to make sure that children in Macedon get a great start in life," Ms Thomas said.

The grants will allow Woodend Kindergarten to purchase a iPad and accessories, Goodstart Early Learning Woodend a Dell Latitude 5420 14.0" Laptop and Dell Pro Slim Backpack.

Other recipients include kindergartens and Goodstart Early learning centres in Kyneton, Riddles Creek and Macedon.

Ms Thomas also announced more than $12,000 for kinders across Macedon to upgrade their kindergarten or buy specialist equipment.

Macedon Kindergarten is set to receive $1339.10 for the to purchase padding for external poles at the centre to support children with additional needs.

Woodend Kindergarten will see $276.50 go towards the same padding.

Minister for Early Childhood Ingrid Stitt said this funding would mean a step could be taken to giving children the best start in their education journey.

"We want to ensure that all children can participate fully at kindergarten so it is crucial that we upgrade facilities and buy the specialist equipment needed to create safe and inclusive learning environments," she said.
