Bell has been appointed as the development coach of the Victoria Country under-16 men that will compete at the national junior tournament to be held at Ballarat, Mackay and Perth next year.
"This is the first time I've been involved with this side of coaching for country Victoria," Bell said.
"I am really excited to work with some of the best coaches in the state and with players that will aspire to elite, NBL and NBA careers."
Bell has been a Bendigo Braves coach for several years and is the current head coach of the men's CBL program, in addition to taking on a lead role within the Under-14 Regional Academy for north central country Victoria.
SPORT NEWS:
His new role as development coach for the under-16 Country Victorian men is one that he is truly looking forward to undertaking.
"What I enjoy most about the progression at this age group is being able to teach them new skills as there's so much to learn from being a 14-year-old through to turning professional," he said.
"I really like being involved in that process not just with skills, but how teams work and even the media side of the sport."
Each year Basketball Victoria sends 15 state teams to the Australian Junior Championships, with female and male participants from both metropolitan and country areas.
