The announcement was made on Friday with the league citing limitations on when restrictions would be eased as the reason behind cancelling the finals series.
"The Victorian government announced on Wednesday 8th September 2021 the easing of restrictions for regional Victoria from 11.59pm Thursday 9th September 2021," AFL CV football operations manager Nathan Williams said.
"Unfortunately, only outdoor training is permitted for community sport. This limitation will be in place until the 23rd September 2021."
Earlier this month the CVFLW outlined that September 19 would be the latest any games would be played and if the season hadn't been decided by that date, it would have to call off finals.
However, Golden Square Football Netball Club has been named as the minor premier having gone through the season undefeated.
"The CVFLW wishes to have a presentation event, when restrictions allow, to award individual award winners, High St X-Ray Team of the Year, minor premiership and to thank the clubs for their hard work and dedication to football in 2021," Williams said.
"On behalf of AFL Central Victoria I would like to thank Champions IGA, High Street X-Ray, Ultra Tune Kangaroo Flat and The Bendigo Club for their continued support of women's football in the region.
"A massive thank you to the clubs, players, coaches, officials and volunteers for their patience and understanding in a difficult season.
"We hope we are able to offer a full and uninterrupted season in 2022."
