Of the local cases, 90 are linked to known cases and outbreaks and the remainder under investigation.
Monday also bought 43,858 test results to Victorians as well as 32,300 vaccinations being administered.
Victoria's active coronavirus case tally now sits at 1,786.

The new cases come as coronavirus fragments were detected in Ballarat wastewater.
According to the Department of Health and Human Services, the "unexpected detection" occurred in the last seven days at the Ballarat South water treatment plant.
It is currently the only unexpected detection in Victoria and was detected on Monday, August 30.
Health Minister Martin Foley hinted there would potentially be a slight easing of restrictions for regional Victoria in the coming days.
"There are still plans for not a snapback, but certainly an easing of restrictions for regional Victoria with the likely exception of the Shepparton, Goulburn Valley area," he said.
Mr Foley said the easing would focus around support measures and wellbeing measures.
Late last night, Echuca Community for the Aged's Wharparilla Lodge facility had been issued a stand down notice from the COVID -19 outbreak linked to Shepparton.
The notice came after all residents and staff in isolation tested negative after their day 13 coronavirus test.
The facility went into lockdown after a staff member returned a positive COVID-19 test on August 26.

The staff member was later re-tested and returned a negative test. Despite the negative test people who were connected to the exposure site were still required to get tested and isolate.
Echuca Community for the Aged chief executive John Dean said he was proud of his teams and thier families for their efforts in trying circumstances.
"The facility had been in full lockdown, following our outbreak management plan from the August 26 and had worked closely with both the state and federal health departments to control the outbreak," he said.
