Apryl Start will experience a day in the life of a flying doctors as part of the $4000 scholarship, a step towards her dream of working in rural health.
Ms Start said she was excited to see the organisation's work first hand, as she often saw them at the hospital.

Ms Start said she had always been interested in health and lifesaving, but came to paramedicine through working as a lifeguard.
The role led to her being asked to work at her local ambulance station in Charlton.
Now in her first year of study at La Trobe University Bendigo, Ms Start said health professionals were vital to rural communities.
"I'm really passionate about bringing these services to rural and remote communities," she said.
"I come from a rural community and that is absolutely my goal to come back rurally to work."
Ms Start said she was excited to spend a day with the Royal Flying Doctors Service, as they were an amazing organisation for rural and remote areas.

The Give Them Wings scholarship program aims to grow and better equip Victoria's rural health workforce.
It's awarded to students studying everything from nursing, to occupational therapy and biomedical science.
Six of La Trobe University's Bendigo and Mildura rural health students have received the scholarship in 2021.
