Member for Bendigo East Jacinta Allan visited Victory Christian College to announce $2.2 million in state government funding on Monday.
The money will go towards a $3.5 million project to construct new building for an ongoing expansion of the school's secondary classes.
"Every Victorian student deserves the best opportunity to thrive when it comes to their education - and we're proud to support better facilities for every school, whether it's government, independent or Catholic," she said.
"This fund will get vital projects off the ground to improve kids' learning and expand facilities in growing areas - giving all Victorian schools access to facilities and classrooms that will lead them to bright futures."
Other stories:
The building will include two science and technology labs, an art and design multipurpose space, a food technology room, five learning areas, two large collaborative spaces, staff offices and nine individual toilets.
The announcement comes days after the federal government confirmed separate funding for works near the school.
More than $400,000 will go towards the installation of new traffic signals and other safety improvements at the Bendigo-Redesdale Road and Kairn Road intersection.
