AMBULANCE Victoria has confirmed that the man injured in today's crash sustained upper body injuries.
The man in his 30s is now at the Bendigo Hospital after being transported by road paramedics.
4.30pm
PARAMEDICS were able to take a patient to Bendigo hospital despite earlier preparing for an airlift.
The man is now being transported after being removed from a vehicle that crashed earlier on Monday in Bamawm.
Ambulance Victoria has confirmed the man is not in a critical condition following the crash.
SES crews performed a careful operation to free him after he was trapped behind the steering wheel of a vehicle that had come off the road and hit a tree.

AN AIR ambulance is flying towards the scene of a crash near Lockington.
Paramedics already at the scene say one person is yet to be removed from the vehicle after it left the road and crashed into a tree, crushing the cabin.
SES crews expect to remain at the scene for some time given the complexity of the rescue operation.
2.35pm
A STATE Emergency Service crew is working to free a patient who is trapped behind the steering wheel of the crashed vehicle.
The crew's work is being made more complex by the way the vehicle is situated.
It left the road and hit a tree, crushing its cabin.
Earlier
AT LEAST one person is trapped after a vehicle rolled over near Lockington, north of Bendigo.
The crash has taken place on Bamawm Road, Bamawm.
Emergency crews were called to reports that the vehicle had left the road and crashed at about 2pm.
Police, paramedics, SES and CFA crews are on scene.
They are working on extracting one person from the vehicle.
