Bendigo's Co.Lab exhibition features 36 collaborative teams of artists and writers who have produced works of poetry, song and fiction paired with painting, drawing, photography, sculpture, and for the first time, video.
Co.Lab organiser and local artist Tony Day said this year will mark the exhibition's 10th anniversary.
"Last year was the first time since we began that it hasn't run," he said.
"10 years is a big deal, so we've worked hard to make sure it goes ahead."
Bendigo writer and historian Natasha Joyce was relieved the exhibition had continued to inspire the region's creative community.
"Co.Lab has become this key event that offers a unique approach to sharing our creative efforts with the community," she said.
"The arts have taken such a big hit in the last year that it felt really important for it to go ahead."
Co.lab was co-founded by Hugh Waller, Viewpoint Handmade Gallery and BendArts in 2011 and was part of Write on the Fringe from 2014 to 2019.
It is presented with the support of the City of Greater Bendigo.
City of Greater Bendigo Arts Officer Rohan Phillips said it was great to see such a variety of work, especially given the current restraints.
"Co.Lab is a fascinating collection of different styles and genres of words and art," he said.
"The visual artists and writers involved this year may have had limitations on working together in person, but it hasn't curbed their creativity."
The tenth Co.Lab will run at Dudley House from Tuesday to Sunday, August 22 from 10am to 4pm.
