The Bendigo mother-of-two has recently launched PotterCo, a boutique pot and tiles service combining her love of landscaping and design.
"It's been daunting but having my own business is something I've always wanted to do," she said. "This was the right fit for me.
"I couldn't find any unique tiles or large scale feature pots locally when we were renovating our house, so I started researching extensively and PotterCo was born."
What started as an annoyance about not being able to find the right pots for her own renovation, has turned into a leap of faith for Mrs Potter who has left her desk job in HR management to open her small business.
"I didn't want to be confined to four walls and the hours of an office environment and I was also trying to find the work-life balance to play taxi to my children," she said.
"We also have a landscaping business and this really compliments that."
Together with her husband Rich, the couple have Landscapes Surrounds which specialises in designing the perfect outdoor spaces for residential and commercial properties.
IN OTHER NEWS:
PotterCo is also a chance for the entrepreneur to get out and meet a wide variety of people.
"This gives me the opportunity to meet clients in their environment and find the perfect finish, whether it be pots or tiles to compliment their existing design," she said.
