Bendigo Health chair Bob Cameron was delighted AstraZeneca had become more widely available to the public.
"What this means, simply put, is more people will be vaccinated," he said.
"We've got the Delta variant going quick and going hard. We've seen short lockdowns and this has unfortunately become a part of life.
"Clearly, the more vaccinated we are, the more we'll see this down the track."
"Of more recent weeks only GPs have been doing AstraZeneca for under 40s," he said.
"But inline with what occurred with the nine hubs over the weekend, from tomorrow we will be giving AstraZeneca shots to under 40s if they consent.
"We do know that some people don't like going to a GP for their shot if their GP doesn't do the vaccination themselves.
"Opening this up will ensure more people are vaccinated in our community."
To register to receive your AstraZeneca shot, head to the Bendigo Health website and click on the link for registrations or scan the QR Code.
Then, you will be re-directed to a form to fill out. If you are under 40, you must tick the box to say you want AstraZeneca to be processed with an appointment time in the coming days.
The state government announced on Sunday that nine of its mass vaccination centres would be able to open AstraZeneca vaccine appointments for those aged 18 to 39 from Monday.
New federal government data shows that Bendigo is in first place for the vaccine uptake in all of Victoria as 54.8 per cent of the population over 15 had received their first dose of a vaccine and 28.9 per cent are fully vaccinated.
However, Sydney pipped the city to the top spot nationally after the NSW capital city ramped up their jab rollout as the state recorded their worst day of coronavirus case numbers on Tuesday.
