Ahead of the match the teams were both square on 16 points, but with Storm's latest win it has put them four points ahead and in the right position for the upcoming finals.
Storm's flurry of goals saw the team win 7.6 (48) to 3.6 (24) over the Roos, which included an even spread of scorers.
The match marked the first round in weeks which Storm had a full side of players to choose from after being hampered with endless injury for majority of the season.
Storm's Amy Cameron, Emily Christie, Alana Long, Tia Davidge, Octavia Di Donato, Chelsea Reeves and Tracey Anderson each booted one goal each.
Donato led best on followed by Claire Macgill, Taylah Moore, Davidge, Cameron and Long.
Roos' Shelby Knoll, Eloise Gretgrix and Jemma Finning scored one each, with Eileen Mitchell leading the best on ground.
Meanwhile, Bendigo Thunder took full advantage of the trip down the Calder to Kyneton with a 116-point demolition of the Tigers, final scores 19.9 (123) over 1.1 (7).
The win, which included multiple goals from Sharni Barker (4), Ayrlea Bailey-McClanahan (3), Hannah Perry (3), Brianna Burt (3), Georgia Gordon (2) and Megan Williamson as best on ground, has put the thunder safely within the top-four.
Tigers Jordan Savoia booted the Tigers' only goal with Rachael Williams leading the best on ground.
Golden Square has once again proven it will be the team to beat come finals in three rounds time after a 122-point silencing of Kerang at Riverside Park, final scores 18.14 (122) over 0.0 (0).
Bulldogs' Tiahna Cochrane booted a nifty seven goals, with Bree Heiden leading the best on ground.
Eaglehawk had another successful weekend by keeping North Bendigo scoreless in a 136-point triumph at Canterbury Park, final scores 20.16 (136) over 0.0 (0).
