Hunting their elusive first Olympic medal, the Boomers completed their pool games with an 89-76 win over Germany in Tokyo on Saturday night to seal top spot in Pool B.
Saturday night's win followed the Boomers' previous two victories over Nigeria (84-67) and Italy (86-83) as they went undefeated in the pool stage for the first time at the Olympics.
Their opponent for the quarter-finals, which will be played on Tuesday, won't be determined until after the pool games are completed tonight.
Former Bendigo Braves' junior Dellavedova contributed two points, one rebound, one assist and one steal in the victory over Germany.
Dellavedova required courtside treatment early in the second quarter after a hand to the face left him bloodied.
Captain Patty Mills starred for the Boomers with 24 points and six assists, while Nick Kay combined for 16 points, four rebounds and four assists as a starter for the injured Aron Baynes (neck).
"The key for us tonight again was the defensive end of the floor, the extra pass, getting the ball from side-to-side then putting the ball in the right guy's hand," Boomers coach Brian Goorjian said.
Meanwhile, the Australian Opals will play their final pool game at 10pm Monday (AEST) against Puerto Rico.
The Opals' medal hopes are hanging by a thread following a heartbreaking 76-74 defeat to China on Friday night left them 0-2 after they also lost their first game to Belgium (85-70).
Bendigo Braves' star Tess Madgen scored five points and had two steals in the loss to China, while the Bendigo Spirit's Tessa Lavey didn't play any minutes. Spirit recruit Leilani Mitchell scored nine points.
